68-year-old Ajit Jain was born in Odisha, one of India’s poorest states. In 1972, he took a degree in mechanical engineering from IIT Kharagpur. The next year he got a job in the sales team at IBM Company.
After this, Ajit Jain did an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1978. Then he consultancy firm McKinsey & Co. Joined. After this he moved to the insurance company Berkshire Hathaway in 1986.
